Expanded Worlds Drawing-SL

This collection of artworks was created by beginning with a small image or photograph cut from a magazine and transforming it into a much larger drawing or painting. Each artist selected a tiny portion of an image, often no bigger than a few inches—and used it as inspiration to imagine what the expanded world around it might look like.

The Artists studied color, detail, and composition, then extended those elements outward to build a complete scene. Some artworks stay true to the source image, while others explore new ideas, unexpected colors, or imaginative settings.
